Collins Family Orchards
Est. 1905
Selah, Washington

Collins Family Orchards is a 4th generation family farm sustainably growing a variety of tree fruits in Selah, WA.

Our focus is the fruit. We offer a wide range of the most delicious varieties we can find, and we do things right — from planting to pruning to harvesting — to bring you the best fruit possible.

The Team: Brian and Calvin Collins

At Collins Family Orchards, we prune our trees and thin the fruit set extensively as our goal is quality, not quantity. We are continuously in search of more perfect fruit, and we test many new varieties each year by grafting and planting new fruits in an experimental block in the orchard. To earn their keep, new fruit must grow well in our climate and taste great!

We're eager to bring our fruit to market, but we don't rush to pick it. Fruit should not come off the tree until it is ripe and ready, at the peak of flavor. We harvest all of our trees by hand to keep fruit at its highest quality possible.

At Collins Family Orchards, it's all about the fruit.

We grow many different varieties to ensure our customers the best selection all year long. We introduce a few new varieties each year and we keep growing the best of the established varieties — we're your source for the best of the old and the new!

One of the most popular types of fruit that we offer are hybrid fruits, such as "pluots" and "apriums." These fruits are created by crossbreeding two different varieties of fruit which results in an offspring that includes genetic characteristics from both parents. We grow many different variety of hybrid fruits and are continually experimenting with crossbreeds in our orchard.
